Dear Church Family, What would you say if someone asked how they could become a Christian? Would you know what to say? Would you have the words to describe the Gospel and how someone could place their trust in Christ? This year, I’ve challenged each of us to, “walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time” (Colossians 4:5 ESV). This is the situation Paul found himself in, as he and Barnabas embarked on their missionary journey and came to Antioch in Pisidia.
When an opportunity to speak came up, Paul was ready, and launched into a powerful presentation of Jesus and the Gospel. He shares how the Old Testament pointed towards Jesus as the Messiah and offers them this amazing truth:
Later this year we will work through different ways we can share the Gospel with those who are lost. One thing we can always do, when we have the opportunity, is simply share what Christ has done in our life. This is our testimony about how Jesus Christ has changed our life. Have you ever thought through and written down your testimony? Each of our testimonies is different, but each contain three important markers: 1) My life before Christ 2) How I met Christ 3) How Christ has changed my life How would you answer each of those? Would you be willing to write down your answer to each this week?
