Dear Church Family, Are you a planner? Good plans, well executed, are a beautiful sight to behold! Sometimes, though, right in the middle, they don’t seem so good. You have to trust that the plan is good and see it through until the end. It’s good to know that God is a planner and that His plans are good! I was reading Isaiah 25 this morning and was reminded of this. I love this chapter in Isaiah, as God lays out the beauty of His future kingdom and Isaiah responds with praise.
After judgement upon the world in the previous chapters, God finally shows the awesome fulfillment of His plan. This isn’t some new, reactionary plan, but wonderful plans formed of old. God and His plans are faithful and sure. I’m not sure where you are in life, but sometimes things can seem chaotic, difficult, and painful. It’s important for us to remember that these aren’t isolated, unplanned accidents of life, but carefully and sovereignly controlled pieces of God’s plan. He doesn’t make mistakes and we can trust that He is faithful and sure. We might not be able to see it now, in the middle of the plan, but one day, we will look back in awe of His amazing plans, formed of old.
What’s Happening at Gospel Life:Communion: We will be celebrating the Lord’s Supper as part of our Sunday morning service this Sunday, May 25th. Through the ordinance of communion, we remember the sacrifice Jesus made to save us from our sins. No Youth Group: We are taking this Sunday off for Memorial Day Weekend. Join us for our Summer Kick-Off next Sunday, June 1st. Elder Training: Our next Elder Training is Tuesday, June 16th at 7 pm at the Bronleewes’ house.
